Located just a short detour off the famous North Coast 500 route, it is the perfect peaceful escape from the main road.
Waterlines Museum & Cafe
Located right on the pier in a beautifully converted smokehouse, Waterlines brings our village history to life. Explore engaging heritage exhibitions, browse local crafts, and enjoy fresh, locally sourced food at our cafe with uninterrupted harbour views.

Wildlife & Walking Trails
Wildlife Watching – Keep your eyes on the waves. The harbour and surrounding cliffs are excellent areas for spotting seals, porpoises, and nesting seabirds.
Walking Trails – Lybster is a key stop on the John O’Groats Trail. Walk the dramatic clifftops north towards Clyth lighthouse or south to Latheronwheel.
